1340- इंग्लैंड और फ्रांस निरस्त्रीकरण संधि पर हस्ताक्षर किया।

 1524- वास्कोडिगामा आखिरी बार वायसराय बन कर भारत आए। 


1639- अमेरिका में पहली प्रिंटिंग प्रेस की शुरुआत। 


1897- ब्रिटेन में पहली बस सेवा की शुरुआत हुई।
 
1914- स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और भारत के पूर्व उप प्रधानमंत्री चौधरी देवीलाल का जन्म। 


1916- भारतीय अर्थशास्त्री, समाजशास्त्री, पत्रकार और महान चिंतक दीनदयाल उपाध्याय का जन्म। 


1920- भारत के प्रसिद्ध रॉकेट वैज्ञानिक सतीश धवन का जन्म!



 1294- ब्रिटेन के दार्शनिक और रसायनशास्त्री रोजर बेकन का निधन हुआ। उनका जन्म 1214 ईसवी में हुआ था। उन्हें हेब्रू ग्रीक और अरबी भाषा का पूरा ज्ञान था। साथ ही उन्हें प्राकृतिक विज्ञान से विशेष लगाव था। रसायन शास्त्र के क्षेत्र में उन्होंने कई पुस्तकें लिखी हैं।

1955- रॉयल जॉर्डन वायु सेना की स्थापना। 

1981- बेलीज संयुक्त राष्ट्र का सदस्य बना।

 1992- अमेरिकी अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी नासा ने 'मार्स ऑब्जर्वर स्पेसक्राफ्ट अंतरिक्ष में भेजा।

2010- हिंदी के वरिष्ठ पत्रकार और साहित्यकार कन्हैयालाल नंदन का निधन।
